Rikki arrived home. She smiled and closed her eyes as she walked in, to find several voices screaming, "Surprise!"
She laughed and hugged everyone, looked up at the "Get Well" banner hanging above her head, and laughed. "I'm fine, guys! You didn't have to do this." She said, laughing. She gave in to the party and sat down at the table, beginning to eat some cake. As she talked with her friends, she felt something vibrate on her thigh. She soon realized it was her phone in her pocket, as it was vibrating because someone was calling her. She stood up, walked into the kitchen so it was quieter, and she answered the call.
"Hello?"

Rikki laughed and smiled. "Hey, Jake..And Ringo." She said, sitting on the counter. She felt happy, knowing that Jacob cared. She normally didn't like asking for help, or being cared for, since she was independent, but sometimes she just had to. "I'm fine, so far."

"When did you get home?"
Ringo pushed Jacob, trying to grab the phone from him to talk to to Rikki, but Jacob been older didn't let Ringo get it.
" Hey, um I' am coming down there for a while for a competition I've entered. Would you like to hang out, when I can?"
Ringo stopped annoying Jacob at once, after he heard what Jacob said.

"Just today..this morning."Rikki said. She laughed quietly. He knew the boys were fighting, but she didn't say anything. "Sure, that'd be great." She said softly, smiling. Her friend walked in, telling her to come back to the table, but she told her to wait a second and she left. "If you'd like, I'll go to your competition, too.." She added, smiling.

Jacob smiled, happy to know that he could hang out with Rikki when he got down to Melbourne. He didn't know many people in Melbourne so it would be good for the both of them.
A wider smile came to Jacob's face when Rikki offered to come to his motorbike competition. " That would be great Rikki. " Jacob said with a bright tone.
Ringo looked to Jacob a little confused. " Jake, stop hogging the phone will ya! "
Jacob rolled his eyes at Ringo. " I'll see you soon then Rikki. Here, Ringo wants to talk to you." Jacob handed Ringo the phone. " Hey Rikki! How are you? What are you up to?" Ringo asked in a silly tone. |

Rikki smiled when Jacob said it would be good for her to come to his competition. She had never really been to a competition, let alone a motorbike one. When Ringo took the phone, she laughed. "Hey Ringo. I'm fine, just sitting in the kitchen right now. How bout you?" She said, her laughing fading. The two boys amused her, even if she was sad. She was looking forward for them to come.

Jacob stood by the door next to Ringo as he spoke to Rikki. " Fine thanks, about to go surfing. Don't you miss been up here in the warmth?" Ringo asked, hoping that Rikki would be coming back up to Cairns soon.
He missed her greatly.

Rikki laughed a little. "Oh cool. You have to teach me how to surf sometime.." She said with a slight giggle. "Yeah, I miss it. It's kind of cold here.." She added, smiling. She missed them more than the weather though. "Are you coming down too? For Jake's competition?" She asked.

Ringo smiled when he heard Rikki smile. He liked nothing more than to make someone laugh. "Of course, I would love to," he said with a smile shining through his tone.
Jacob laughed with seeing his little brother acting like he was. Ringo was like this with anyone but he did seem to act a little different with Rikki.
"Nah, worst of luck. I' ve got training to do so I can't. " Ringo's tone lightened with each word he said. He wanted nothing more than to go to Melborne with his brother. He liked seeing different things and different cities, something that only his brother had done in his family.

Rikki smiled. It turned to a frown when he said he couldn't come. "Aww...Good luck with the doctor stuff, anyway.." she said. It was kind of sad for her, almost scary, because he had practically saved her life back in Cairns. She didn't really know what Ringo's normal side was, because he always acted different around her. Then she kind of thought Ringo liked her, but she brushed it away, because she tended to say what she thought.

Ringo heard Rikki's tone chang suddenly and he thought of what he had said to her for it to change.
Quickly he thought of something else to say to make it better. "Thanks a lot Rikki, I might even be coming down there myself in the next few months."
Jacob turned around, looking to Ringo as he kept on talking. Jacob was a little surprised by the way his brother had so quickly made plans that he didn't know of. It was so unlike Ringo to do something like that and not have told him or the rest of the family first.

Rikki smiled. "Cool." She said. She looked out of the kitchen window and saw that some people were leaving because she wasn't there. So impatient.. She turned away and smiled. Even though she wanted to get back to the party, she pushed the thought away and kept talking. "Hey, uh, when you come down, I have a present for you..Same with Jake, too." She said, grinning. She had made two necklaces, out of small silver chain and a self-carved little figurine. Ringo's was a Star of David, Jacob's was a wolf. She had no idea Jacob was a werewolf though. She just felt it fit his personality. On the back of each pendant it read "THANK YOU."
